Bisignano’s Italian Dressing & Marinade was created by my grandfather, Charlie Bisignano. He originally made it as a house dressing for his restaurant in Des Moines, where it quickly became a favorite with customers. People loved it so much that it eventually grew beyond the restaurant and into something families could bring home and enjoy in their own kitchens.
The recipe is simple but full of flavor. It’s made with a classic blend of red wine vinegar, oil, garlic, and spices that gives it a bold, tangy taste. It works just as well on a fresh salad as it does on vegetables, pasta, or as a marinade for grilling.
Today, we still make Bisignano’s the same way it started — inspired by my grandfather’s recipe and the idea that good food doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s meant to be shared at the table, added to your favorite dishes, and enjoyed with the people around you.
